About CAP
Child Art Psychotherapy, or ‘CAP,’ is a specific method of art psychotherapy developed for young people experiencing an array of emotional and mental health difficulties. It combines artmaking with talk therapy to help young people explore their inner worlds. CAP is a psychodynamic approach, sensitive to each young person’s experiences and relationships, and how these impact their wellbeing.
CAP offers emotional support, helps young people make sense of complex or painful life experiences, and to understand their feelings so they may cope better in the future. CAP is appropriate for those struggling with their mental health and those who have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties, or significant loss.
I offer a safe, confidential therapeutic space where young people can explore, communicate, and work towards a better understanding of their feelings and experiences.
